Dr Victoria Milner
Post-Diagnosis Support
The journey to discovering you are autistic, whether that be via a formal clinical diagnosis or self-identity, can bring up many different and sometimes conflicting emotions.

I offer compassionate post-diagnostic support for individuals in the early stages of their autism diagnostic journey.
Session content:
My goal is to provide a safe, inclusive and neuro-affirming space where you can explore your identity, understand your unique strengths, and navigate the challenges you may face. I tailor my approach to you.
Post-diagnostic support sessions may cover:
-
Understanding what autism means to you
-
Exploring your identity
-
The emotional impact of diagnosis
-
Practical tools to help you day-to-day (endorsed by many autistic people!)
-
Signposting to resources
-
Space to explore your experience of diagnosis
-
Space to understand your pre-diagnosis life with a new lens
-
Discussions around sharing your diagnosis with others

Please note, whilst I am not autistic myself I have worked with many autistic people and consider myself an autistic advocate, ally and celebrator of all neurotypes. I do not believe I "know best", but will use my psychological and professional experience, training and knowledge to support you and meet your needs.

Session format
At present, I am only able to offer online appointments. Sessions typically last 50 minutes, but can be extended or shortened to suit your processing style.

I can offer up to six sessions. Typically these sessions are weekly, but different frequencies can be discussed.

Fees
If you did not complete your autism assessment with me, I offer a complimentary (free of charge) initial phone/video call for 30 minutes to ensure that we are the right fit before you commit to any sessions.

Sessions (50 minutes) are £100 each.
